For this project, the class reviewed proportions of the face while learning about famous artists who use portraits as a subject in their work. In particular, we focused on the artists Chuck Close and how he used art as a way to overcome hardships in his life. Elements of arts and Principles of Designs taught included; contrast, color, proportion, opaque, positive space, negative space, and contour line.
